Granola 

I was looking for a "healthy" breakfast, which better suits my healthier lifestyle. In the supermarkets you will find many cereals but with unhealthy additives and why not make it yourself? It is very easy to make and you can endlessly vary. It can be sugar free, but you can always add some honey or syrup. Also very tasty is to add some dark chocolate.

I must say that this is really my favorite breakfast!

 

 

 

Method

 

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 ℃ and cover the baking tray with baking paper.
  2. If you use coconut oil, first heat it in a pan until it is liquid. Mix the coconut oil (or olive oil) with the oat flakes, nuts, grated coconut and seeds. Stir even honey or maple syrup through the mixture. Spread the mixture over the baking sheet.
  3. Bake the granola in the oven for 20 minutes. Stir after 10 minutes.
  4. Allow the granola to cool well and then add the dried fruit.
  5. serve the granola with yoghurt or Greek yogurt.

Fresh fruit or marmelade are also delicious in it!

Ingredients

🕓 30 minutes

 

  • 200 grams oatflakes
  • 200 grams unfrosted nuts
  • 1,5 tablespoon coconut oil or olive oil

Toppings

  • 1 tablespoon spices (e.g. cinnamon, dutch biscuit spice (see recipes), cocoa)
  • 50 grams grated coconut
  • 120 grams various seeds (e.g. pomkin seeds, sesam)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 100 grams dried fruit e.g. (raisins, apricots, cranberries)
